For my birthday – I got a big globe. Looks like it’s from the late 70′s, and as I hoped, it’s got USSR.

At Siggraph this year, I talked with a chap called Andrew from Shapeshot who scanned our faces. A week later he emailed me an OBJ model that I was able to import into Cinema 4D and play around with. I tinkered with the render a bit in After Effects… and hey presto.

I had a great opportunity to meet with Nick Campbell of Greyscalegorrilla.com at Siggraph, who then invited us to a very, very excellent Maxon party at the Shore Club in Vancouver. He was nice, and also very much taller than I expected.
